Overview[]

Each week, from 15:00 UTC Friday until 14:59 UTC the following Wednesday, groups of three Alliances can compete to rule territory within Wakanda. Alliances which are level 15 or higher are eligible to enter Alliance Conquest, and leaders must submit an application during the application period in order for their Alliance to compete in that week's event (unless the alliance's setting allows other members to do so).

Application Process[]

There is no extra charge to participate in Alliance Conquest and all applications are approved (so long as the alliance meets the level 15 criterion).

The application period lasts from 15:00 UTC every Thursday until 14:59 UTC Friday (i.e., from Thursday reset until Friday reset). During that time, the alliance leader may apply (or change the application) for the alliance to compete in the conquest, starting at the onset of one of the first 3 battle phases after Friday reset (see "The Battle Phase" section below for onset times). After that, the alliance will be matched with 2 others to fight in the Alliance Conquest event.

How to play[]

Each Alliance Conquest event consists of 2 phases that alternate throughout the event. The Battle Phase is a time period when you can attack the defenders of other territories, defeat them, and claim those areas! The second phase is the Prep Phase: here you can switch characters which are defending areas that your alliance has claimed.

The Battle Phase[]

Battle phase onsets occur every 8 hours throughout an Alliance Conquest event—at 1:00, 9:00, and 17:00 UTC—and last for 2 hours each.

Battles in Alliance Conquest mode are AI vs AI. The battles will play similar to Alliance Tournament.

Selecting Targets[]

Once the conquest mode begins, 3 Alliances will be randomly placed in their starting areas. Members of the Alliance can only attack areas next to a region that their Alliance owns (or their starting area). Once they defeat the defending troops, they will occupy that area. An Alliance will get Conquest Points corresponding to the total number of stars on all regions (e.g., 5 points for a 3-star region plus a 2-star region) successfully conquered and held until the end of the Battle Phase.

Attacking[]

In order to conquer an area, members of an alliance must win 10 battles against defenders in that area. Until an area is conquered by an alliance for the first time, all defenders in that area are stock AI: 2-star areas have AI characters under Lv. 60, 3-star areas have some AI characters at Tier 2, and the 5-star area has all AI characters at Tier 2. Here are the rules of battle:

  • Only 1 alliance member can fight in a given battle, though multiple alliance members can fight different battles simultaneously (even in different areas).
  • Each battle consists of 2 matches of 3v3. You must choose a team of 6 characters (2 squads of 3) to fight the defender's team.
    • If you're keeping track, this means you need 60 characters to conquer an entire area by yourself (and more, if any battles are lost).
  • In battle, your characters and the defender's characters will be AI controlled.
  • If your first squad wins against the defender's first squad, they will go on—with whatever characters/HP they have remaining—to face the defender's second squad.
  • If your first squad loses at any point in a battle, your second squad will continue fighting whatever characters/HP the defender has left.
  • If both of your squads lose, you can construct a new team (of 2 squads) to continue where they left off.
  • Defeat: Once a character has been defeated (HP = 0), it can’t be used again until the next daily reset (15:00 UTC), or at least until the next Battle Phase, if you restore it during the Prep Phase. Either way, you cannot use a defeated character again in the same Battle Phase.
  • After an area has been conquered, the characters that you succeeded with will become the defenders of that area. Characters that are defending a region cannot be used to attack other regions.
    • Defending characters will regain full HP in the next Battle Phase, provided they successfully hold the area throughout the current Battle Phase.
  • If multiple alliances are competing for an area, they will all fight the same defenders, not each other.
    • The first alliance to win all 10 battles in the area will conquer it.
      • All characters used by alliances who failed to conquer the area will be marked as defeated (i.e., unusable until next daily reset—15:00 UTC).
  • Standby: If an alliance has become inactive in an area that they started to conquer (i.e., won a few battles then stopped fighting) for 60 min, the defeated defenders will be restored and the attacking alliance's characters will be marked as "standby."
    • Characters on "standby" will not be usable again until the alliance conquers the region {needs verification}.
    • If the alliance fails to conquer the region before the end of the Battle Phase, the "standby" characters will be marked as defeated (i.e., unusable until next daily reset).
  • If the battle phase ends before an alliance can finish conquering an area, the defeated defenders will be restored and the attacking alliance's characters will be marked as defeated (i.e., unusable until next daily reset).

Seal[]

Once an Alliance has successfully conquered and held onto an area for a period of time, they will seal that area. While the area is being sealed, other Alliances can attack and try to steal the area before the sealing process is complete. Each time an area is stolen by a different Alliance, 5 min are added to the initial sealing time (initial = 30 min).

If the area has been successfully sealed, then that area cannot be attacked for the remainder of the current Battle Phase; however, it can be attacked again in the next Battle Phase. If the area is successfully sealed while an alliance is attacking it, all characters used by the attacking alliance in the area will be marked as defeated (i.e., unusable until next Alliance Conquest reset).

Special Abilities[]

The Alliance Leader and Class 1 alliance members can also purchase special abilities to help the tides of battle be favorable for them. These special abilities can be purchased for Alliance Points.

Prep Phase[]

Prep phase onsets occur at battle phase offsets—at 3:00, 11:00, and 19:00 UTC—and last for 6 hours each.

Changing Defensive Teams[]

Defensive troops can be changed during the Prep phase. Changing one defending team will cost 30 crystals.

Restoring Defeated Characters[]

In the Prep phase, you can also restore your defeated heroes for 20 Alliance Tokens each (earned from donating to the alliance and fulfilling member support requests). Restoring a character will allow that character to be used in the next Battle Phase.

Collecting Rewards[]

During every Prep phase, each alliance member can retrieve a sum of Alliance Mementos—for donating to the alliance—based on how many areas your Alliance currently controls (see Conquest Reward table, below), regardless of whether that member has participated in the conquest up to that point (to retrieve, open Alliance Conquest, click ENTER, then CONQUEST REWARD, as shown in the following images).

Alliance Conquest results and rewards[]

After the Alliance Conquest Mode concludes, the Alliance with the most Conquest Points gets 1st place, the second most gets 2nd place, etc. Each Alliance's overall rank (among all alliances) is updated based on the Conquest results and rewards are determined by their rank and placement. All alliance members are awarded gold and those who won battles will also be given a Contribution Reward, based on the number of battles they won (individually).
